50% Gamay from the Loire, 40% Grenache Noir from Provence, 10% Trousseau. 60% 4 weeks maceration, 20% direct press, 20% 7 months on the skins in old oak barrels.
Volatile acids on opening but quickly dissipate. In the nose juicy, many Gamay notes. At first little fruit, but a clear acidity, alcohol and structure. More like Gamay d'Auvergne than Beaujolais. Edgier. Super crisp with oodles of energy. Open at least an hour before drinking.
