" Calcaròt is an artisan wine, as our grandfathers made before the advent of industrial wine production. Our goal was to produce a wine full of character, with a strong taste that stands out from the international standards of the conventional wine industry. Following local tradition, two indigenous red grape varieties are combined to achieve an ideal balance between acidity and roundness. This wine comes from a project to restore an old vineyard. It is a rustic, honest wine that goes well with the local food culture based on cold cuts, spicy cheeses, stuffed pasta and game, " says Alberto Anguissola about his wine. "
