Simon Rouillard is one of the most promising young winemakers recently established in Anjou. After studying music and working for two years with organic vegetable farmers, he turned to natural wines and trained for several years in the Jura at Domaine de la Tournelle, where he also worked with Jura producers Philippe Bornard, Raphaël and Marie (Ratapoil), Jean-Ba and Florine (Les Bottes Rouges) and Catherine Hannoun (Domaine de la Loue). He then got involved with the La Grange aux Belles vineyard in Anjou and finally decides to take the next step with 2 hectares of vineyard. Simon also runs a small grape trade with winemakers who work exclusively organically. Tasting his wines in a Paris wine cellar, we were immediately impressed by his work: purity and lightness, finely polished wines that testify to great skill. Even more impressive is that we are talking about his first vintage.
