Caroline Ledédenté
Bugey
It is enough to take a tour of Caroline's vineyards to understand why she fell in love with the Bugey. Isolated plots surrounded by trees and intact nature, a view to kneel down on, it makes you feel like you're standing in paradise. So when she was offered to take over vineyards, she didn't hesitate for long. She knew the Bugey because she worked a little with Grégoire Perron after her two-year training in oenology, which she completed in the Jura. Actually an engineer of architecture and urban planning, she turned to gastronomy and got the desire to make her own wine.
We were impressed by her first vintages, wines of strong character, fine, pure and direct, which do honor to the typical grape varieties of the region, Jacquère, Altesse, Chasselas, Molette or Mondeuse. A winemaker you should keep an eye on!
