    Wilfried Garcia

    Roussillon

The Cotzé winery was founded in 2019 by Wilfried Garcia in Bajande in the Pyrénées Orientales near the Spanish border. Wilfried planted vines and orchards at an altitude of 1300 meters with the aim of producing wine, fruit juices and cider. This is now the highest vineyard in France.
The grape varieties planted are varied. There are Chardonnay, Savagnin, Sylvaner, Altesse, Pinot Noir, Mondeuse and Gamay, among others.
Until the vines are old enough to produce, Wilfried has launched his trade project "Transhumància".
He selects and gathers grapes that are organically processed in Roussillon, then transports them to his high-altitude winery to make excellent wines.
Wilfried's wines do not lack originality. His first vintage, which we tasted at a fair, delighted us; his wines are full of delicacy and freshness.
