Clément Poirel
Loire
Clément Poirel settled in Beaulieu-sur-Layon in 2020 after taking over the winery from Jean-François Chéné. The vineyards are located mainly in the slate slopes of Beaulieu, the soils are worked organically since 2005. Vinification is as natural as possible, and the reds are crisp, with low alcohol (between 9.5% and 10.5%). Clément, who thinks long-term, has opted directly for a long aging of his Chenin wines, two years in barrique. We are curious!
